The Orchard building is owned by The Orchard Church in Te Puke and is made available for the community to use during the week for all sorts of events and commercial activities.
We’d love to host your next event. Please have a look at information and photos below, check out the hireage document then give us a call to discuss your needs or to book in a time to come have a look.
The Foyer & Cafe
The foyer is not your average entrance way. This large expansive space including our new café (currently under redevelopment) often doubles as a location for weddings or birthdays. It connects directly onto the kitchen and sound is delivered evenly through the room through speakers connected to the main sound system. This café area opens out onto a shaded decked area with an adjacent fenced playground (also under redevelopment).
The auditorium is a wonderful location for weddings, funerals and business meetings. It can seat up to 475 people, with the possibility to overflow into the foyer which dramatically increases the capacity of the event. The auditorium is fitted with a production quality sound system, stage lighting and large screen projector and is often used for large conferences and musical events.
The Youth Hall
The Youth Hall has its own sound and projection equipment and is often used for smaller events such as birthdays or business meetings. It has servery windows into the kitchen for easy catering. You are welcome to set it up according to your needs. This area opens out onto a shaded decked area with an adjacent fenced playground (currently under redevelopment).
It is great to be able to hire a room and then also to hire the kitchen to meet the catering needs of your event. Strategically placed between the Lounge and the Youth Hall the fully equipped kitchen has servery windows both directions. Portable tables can also be used to serve refreshments in any room with ease.
Our small private lounge can seat 20 – 30 people, and is a great meeting place with convenient food service from the adjacent kitchen via the servery window.
